Mackintosh LTC – Return to Tennis 19/06/20

Mackintosh LTC – Return to Tennis – 19/06/20

We are delighted to confirm we have been given the green light to re-open the club from the Welsh Government and Tennis Wales from Monday 22nd June 2020. Initially, members will only be able to play singles or receive individual lessons. Doubles can be played, but only with a maximum of one other household (i.e. between 2 household groups or 4 members from the same household).

The club committee have been extremely busy putting in place safety measures and rules to ensure members and families are able to return to playing tennis at the club in a safe environment. Please click the link below to view the current safety measures and rules:

To access the courts all members MUST have paid their membership fees for the 2020/21 membership year. To compensate for the 2 and a half months that we have lost (April, May & June) we would like to offer the following options:

  1. Pay Full Fee for 2020/21 membership year, but receive a 33% discount for the 2021/22 membership year
  2. Pay a pro-rata fee for the remainder of the 2020/21 membership year

Please click here to renew your membership fees.

With only singles, individual lessons, and doubles with a maximum of 1 other household currently allowed, we would like to encourage more families and parents to join to play with your children. We have got a superb introductory offer for new members with a 3-month trial for Juniors, Individual Adults, Joint Adults and Families – please click here for more details.

Our coaching team are available to provide individual lessons (or joint lessons with players from the same household) – we are all eager to get back on-court after such a long time away. Special measures have been put in place to ensure a safe environment is created for both players and coaches. Please contact Head Coach Rhys Morgan if you would like to book an individual lesson. We are not permitted to run any group lessons at this stage. All payments for coaching will need to be made via online bank transfer.

Online Court Booking System
To be able to use the courts, members MUST book in advance using our online court booking system at:

There is also a ‘ClubSpark Booker’ App which can be downloaded from the App Store, so that you can book courts easily from your mobile devices.

Members are politely asked to be courteous to others when booking courts i.e. not booking the same time every day (particularly during busier times on evenings and weekends). Please only book a court if you are 100% going to be there. Any members found booking courts and not showing up may lose their right to book courts in the future.

The booking system will be ‘live’ from Sunday 21st June at 12pm – PLEASE DO NOT TRY AND BOOK BEFORE THIS TIME AS YOUR BOOKING WILL BE CANCELLED!

We are very much looking forward to seeing you back at the club soon. We want to reassure members that we have thoroughly followed the guidelines from the LTA/Tennis Wales to ensure the club is as safe as possible for members to return to tennis.
